This project involved adding a new second floor to an existing house, creating a bedroom, a full bathroom, and a laundry room, which enhanced the overall functionality of the home. The homeowners needed additional space for a larger bedroom, a new bathroom, and an upgraded laundry area. They felt limited by the layout of the existing house, prompting them to explore options for a second-floor addition. The renewal of the process was planned in several weeks. The planning was done on paper to meet all the client’s wishes. All materials have been selected with the customer’s taste and as a standard of our company we work closely with our client to meet all their expectations

Where required, parts of the roof or upper floor were demolished to make way for the new construction. The home required temporary support to maintain its integrity during the construction process. Once the roof was removed, the floor for the second story was framed. Beams and joists are installed to create a sturdy base. After the floor, walls for the new rooms were erected, including, including the added dormers. Then, a new roof was built over the second floor. The exterior of the addition was finished to match the original structure, including siding, windows, and roofing materials.

For the bathroom and laundry room, plumbers install pipes for water supply, drainage, and vents. They ensure that everything is connected to the existing systems. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems were upgraded to accommodate the new rooms, ensuring proper airflow and climate control. Insulating the walls and ceiling of the new addition was essential for energy efficiency, temperature control, and soundproofing. Once insulated, the walls were covered with drywall. In the bathroom, blue herringbone tiles are laid on the floor, while other rooms receive flooring as per the design. The geometric wall tiles in the bathroom are carefully installed around the tub and shower areas. The walls and ceilings are painted, with the bathroom featuring soft blue tones for a calming effect.

The second-floor addition and remodeling project made a significantly increased living space and provided greater comfort, better flow and improved functionality
